This is a clean, well maintained campground. Campground hosts were very helpful and friendly. We were escorted to our site. Interior roads are gravel and they are wide, making it easy to maneuver a big rig. All sites are pull-through, gravel and level with big shade trees. We used the laundry here and found it clean and well maintained with new washers and dryers. Restrooms and showers were also clean and well maintained. This is very nice facility. The only drawback is some highway noise. We would stay here again.

We arrived here on a Saturday evening after Labor Day with no reservation: a big mistake. This campground fills up on weekends. We had to settle for one of the last dry camping sites that would accommodate our 32-foot motorhome. The host was very helpful in accommodating us. We moved to an electric only site the next day. Potable water is available at the dump station and at various locations throughout the campground. Interior roads are paved and sites have cement pads. Most picnic tables are also on cement pads. There are three loops. Two of them have a limited turning radius. Negotiating them with a towed vehicle or a trailer is impossible. In spite of being busy, this is a very nice campground. We would camp here again. The rate reflects the cost for a site with electricity.

This is a US Army Corps of Engineers campground located on Percy Priest Lake just east of Nashville. This is a clean, well laid out campground with paved interior roads. The roads are a little tight, but we had no trouble maneuvering our 32-foot motorhome with a towed vehicle. Sites are paved and mostly level. Sites have water and electric, most are 50 amp and others 30 amp. A dump station is located at the campground entrance, with facilities for dumping on either side of your rig. The campground host was friendly and helpful. This campground is a few miles off I-40, but little hard to find. I prefer to use my brain to navigate, but here I used my GPS to get in and back out again. The rate reflects the Senior Pass rate. We would stay here again.

We stopped here overnight. The campground is out in the open without any shade. Highway noise from I-25 is noticeable. The sites are gravel and mostly level, but too close together. It’s good there were only a few campers here after Labor Day. The grass between sites, if you want to call it that: well, it’s like camping out in a field. One reason we stopped was several web sites and the AAA Travel Guide mentioned a chuck wagon dinner. The girl at the campground store told me they no longer do the chuck wagon dinners. It is ok for a stop over, but we probably won’t come back.

This is a great campground for an overnight stopover. Interior roads and sites are gravel and level. Picnic tables between sites are in excellent condition and the grass is thick and well kept. We arrived after 5 p.m. and had to register in the Cabela’s store. The clerk was friendly and helpful and gave us our Good Sam discount. We would camp here again.

This is a small campground currently consisting of 10 sites located on the Big Wood River. There is a hot spring and swimming pool within walking distance and the Harriman bike trail runs through the campground. Part of the campground is closed due to flood damage. There are no facilities except for some pit toilets which were clean. The water faucets in the campground don’t work. Potable water and a dump station are available at the visitor center about 6 miles away. Interior roads and sites are gravel. All sites are level and can accommodate larger RVs. The campground host was friendly and helpful. We had a double site, but couldn’t tell much difference between the single and double sites. It was quiet except for some highway noise. However, traffic is light and almost nonexistent at night. This is a great place for dry camping. We would camp here again. Although this campground lacks facilities, we rated it compared to other dry camping experiences.

This well developed campground has paved interior roads and sites. All sites are level and each has a sheltered picnic table. There is plenty of room between sites. The main drawback is the noise. The campground is only about 100 yards from busy I-15. The air conditioner could not cover up the road noise, which went on all night. Then at 5:30 a.m. a train went by and blew its whistle, not once, but four times. For the price, it would be nice if they would provide wireless internet. We stayed here overnight, but next time we will look for a quieter place.

We stayed at the Lakeview Campground two nights while visiting Lincoln. This is a quiet, clean and spacious campground. No highway noise. Interior roads and sites are paved. There is plenty of space between sites. Grass is green, thick and mowed. Some picnic tables are on cement pads. There are 67 sites with electricity. Sites 39-52 and 71-73 have 50 amp service, others have 30 amp service. Potable water is available at the campground entrance and at the dump station located at the Pawnee SRA headquarters about a mile away. This campground is near a lake. The park ranger told us the campground fills up on Nebraska football weekends. We rated this campground compared to other state parks having limited facilities. We would stay here again.

This is an older facility. We stopped here over night. It appeared that this campground was mostly occupied by long term workers. Never the less, it was quiet, except for some highway noise from I-90. Inside with the air conditioner running we couldn't hear it. The host was friendly and helpful. Sites are all level. Interior roads and sites are dirt, not gravel. It probably gets muddy when it rains. There were some muddy spots left over from recent rains. The sites are somewhat close together, with grass in between. This is a good campground for overnighting, but I wouldn’t want to stay here any longer. I would camp here again.

This is a very nice, city park with great campground hosts. The park is in excellent condition and well maintained. The electric, water, cable TV and sewer facilities look like they were recently replaced or upgraded. Interior roads are paved, and the sites are gravel and mostly level. There are plenty of large shade trees. The sites are a little closer together than we are used to in municipal/state parks. They could change this very good park into a great park by eliminating about half the sites. There are miles of paved bike trails connecting the campground with downtown Spearfish and surrounding areas. Of all the campgrounds we have stayed, this is one of the best.

Well groomed, very nice park with paved spaces far enough apart to provide some privacy. Sites mostly level, some with big trees. No pull-throughs. Clean restrooms and very nice play areas. Small lake with paddle boat rentals. Register at the boat office. Stayed here one night on my way through Tennessee. Would like to come back and stay longer. The only negative is lots of tame ducks, which is nice, but you have to watch your step some places to avoid the droppings.

We stayed here over night on our way to Yellowstone. This is good campground for that purpose or as a base for visiting the area. There is a good view of Lander and the mountains from one end of the campground. Interior roads and sites are gravel and all sites are level. The campground owners were very helpful and friendly. We were escorted to our site. Sites are close together, but there is plenty of room for slide-outs and awning. Maneuvering interior roads is a little tight, but we had no problem with our 32-foot motorhome and tow vehicle. We would stay here again.

This is one of those gems that only the folks in Iowa seem to know about. This county park is one of the best places we ever camped. We camped in the Fogdall campground, one of two campgrounds in the park. There are 21 full hook-up sites and many others with electric only. Our site had 50 amp service. Interior roads are paved, sites are gravel with a cement pad for the picnic table and there is plenty of space between sites. All the sites are level. Many sites are shaded by big trees. The park does not take reservations. One restroom facility serves both campgrounds and it is spotless. There are also miles of paved bike trails. Downtown Cedar Falls is an easy bike ride away. We camped here two nights and would come back and stay longer. The only reason I didn't rate it a 10 is lack of WiFi service.

This is a large campground located in a stand of cottonwood trees that provide shade for some sites. Although we expected to find no electric, water or sewer at the sites we were disappointed with the overall condition of the campground. It looks like little has been done in the way of maintaining this campground. Many of the sites are short and will not accommodate today’s larger RVs. Without changing the primitive nature of this campground, the sites could be made larger and more level. The dump site is in poor condition. There are potholes around the small cement aprons at the two dump stations. The holes are full of spilled sewage. The dump site should be rebuilt. On the good side, this was a quiet and peaceful place to camp. However, next time we will try another campground in the park.

Nice family oriented campground. Owners very friendly and helpful. Interior roads and sites gravel. Entrance road has some potholes. Lots of kids in the campground, but quiet after about 9 p.m. Would stay here again.
